Restoration at Camper & Nicholsons, 1991

Salt, racing and neglect left Trivia in a sorry state.

The decayed side planking was removed and new Z angled steel frames replaced the corroded originals.

The hull was then replanked. New garhoods, laminated horn, sternpost and stem were installed.

Countersunk fastenings were sealed with dowels. Seams were caulked and splined in the traditional way.

Yellow pine decking was laid over the new plywood subdeck.

Revived, restored, relaunched. Once again Trivia rules the waves.
